Lutron® integration protocol
Why Integrate with a QSE-IO?
• Know the state of the Contact Closure Inputs (CCIs).
• Control the state of the Contact Closure Outputs (CCOs).
Integration Capabilities
5 Contact Closure Inputs (CCIs) and 5 Contact Closure Outputs. The QSE-IO mode of operation is specified
by its DIP switch configuration.
• CCI and CCO states can be polled in any DIP configuration.
• CCI events can be monitored through integration in any DIP configuration.
• CCI events (closures or openings of CCIs) can be ‘spoofed’ (faked) through integration in DIP configurations
where momentary CCIs are specified.
• CCO events can be monitored through integration in any DIP configuration.
• The CCO state logic is typically tied to the states of the CCIs or other devices on the QS link and thus, CCO
events cannot be generated through integration in most DIP configurations; the exceptions are the output
DIP configurations (e.g., Shade Output, Zone Control Output) and the Integration DIP configuration that
allows full monitoring of CCIs and control of CCOs through integration.
• Occupancy events can be monitored through integration when the QSE-IO is in an Occupancy DIP
configuration.
Supported Command Types
• DEVICE allows monitoring of CCI and CCO events and polling of CCI/CCO states and in certain QSE-IO DIP
configurations, allows ‘spoofing’ of CCI events and generation of CCO events.
• OUTPUT (in certain output-oriented QSE-IO DIP configurations) allows control and monitoring of the CCOs.
